Proverbs 23:7 says that "as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
As your thinking goes, so goes your entire being.
I used to think I was worthless, of no value, inadequate, inferior and full of shame. I was so ashamed of myself that I felt I would have to struggle all my life. I did not think I would do well at sports, in attracting the opposite sex, in business or in any other way. All my thinking was negative.
Then, at the age of 35, married with 3 children and a good job, I discovered, by God's grace and mercy, I was valuable. So valuable, in fact, that His Son died in my place.
My whole life changed. I began to think positively. I saw myself as a child of God, made in His image, royalty, worthy, valuable and with a purpose and destiny.
I had accepted satan's negative lies and agreed with him too long. Now I began to see myself as God sees me.
Did it happen overnight? NO! But I began a process that is still happening today. Through the power of the Holy Spirit I am able to grow and my life's purpose is to help you grow as well.
Take every thought captive. If it is negative, it is a lie of satan and you have the authority to refuse. If it is positive, I believe, it comes from God. After all, Jesus only had positive character qualities in Him. Since I am made in His image I only have positive character qualities.
Blessings for a Godly thought life!
I am so grateful that Father God made a covenant with His Son Jesus, as the only deserving individual, and that I was in Christ when the covenant was made. Now I, too, am an heir of all of the blessings Father God gave to His Son Jesus. Hallelujah! I choose to walk in those blessings today!
In a recent message, Joyce Meyers, famous solid Christian woman said, "You cannot go forward if your mind keeps going backward."
I take this to mean that if we keep dwelling on our past mistakes, we will never be able to move forward into the destiny God has for us.
He wants to bless us to 1,000 generations. He has said this many times in His Word.
Our poor self-image and negative thoughts can hold us back.
Let's begin to believe Him at His Word, believe that we are His sons/daughters and that as we begin to take our thoughts captive and believe Him, we will be in position to receive all He has for us.
When we take individuals through the Restoring the Foundations ministry we teach them how to become aware of everything thought that is not from God i.e. positive as well as every thought that is negative i.e. from the enemy. Most importantly, we teach them how to renounce and break agreement with the negative thoughts, create new positive Godly thoughts and begin to believe them. As we do this, we are preparing the launch pad to continue to launch them into the destiny God has for them.
